PADI DIVEMASTER PROGRAM
To become a PADI certified Divemaster, an individual must be prepared to assume responsibilty and take a leadership role. The responsibility is considerable and the program is designed for only the serious diver. The rewards of being a Divemaster, however, in terms of personal satisfaction and achievement are unparalleled
PREREQUISITES:
- 18 years of age or older
- Certified PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent
- Have minimum 20 logged dives at start of program and 60 logged dives at end of program
- Submit an approved medical exam form fo diving, signed by a physician
- Current first aid/CPR certification
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
The PADI Divemaster Program is divided into three modules:
Module #1 - Watermanship & Skills Assessment
This module is designed to assess and provide recurrent training in general watermanship and diving skills. Diver rescue abilities will be assessed and improved and proficiency in dealing with stress-inducing problems developed. Swim, tread and tow testing will be conducted and a high degree of physical stamina nd diving skill is essential.
Module #2 - Diving Knowledge Development
This module is designed to increase your knowledge of the theory and principals of diving. Using the PADI Divemaster manual and other resources, you will be required to study the manual, video and supplmentary resources, review with the instructor the information and successfully complete a series of 9 written exams covering various topics.
Module #3 - Practical Application
This module includes training and experience in the supervisory aspect of being a Divemaster. Practical training exercises such as map-making and emergency plan development, as well as internship in a real teaching environment assisting a PADI instructor. The objectives are to gain familiarity with the diver training process, develop an awareness of typical student problems, and learn how to supervise and control divers in general.

INCLUDED:
- All instruction for knowledge development sessions, pool sessions, and open water dive sessions, plus classroom equipment.
- All materials - Divemaster manual, slates, RDP Wheel, encyclopedia and workbook, and Instructor guides for Divemaster led programs (disc format), etc.
- Tanks, weights, and belts for all sessions.
NOT INCLUDED:
- Any dive equipment not noted as well as first aid/CPR certification
- Certification photos of passport quality (offered at Dive Center - $5.00)
- PADI Divemaster briefcase $24.95 ($39.95 value)
- PADI Divemaster application fee of $70.00
- Transportation, meals, accomodations and entry fees to the Homestead Crater.
