PADI OPEN WATER DIVER PROGRAM

Start having fun and diving TODAY with the most popular dive-training program in the world. Begin at home with your student diver kit where you cover the program materials at your pace, then meet with your PADI instructors to elaborate on the practical skills of diving. This program includes the knowledge development sessions and pool dives, the first two elements of diver certification. Four open water dives under the direct supervision of a certified professional PADI instructor complete the process that will open you up to a lifetime of travel and underwater adventure. PADI stands for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.

PREREQUISITES:

• 10 years of age or older
• Good health with reasonable fitness and comfort in the water

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

Section #1 - Knowledge Development
Knowledge of SCUBA equipment, dive skills and procedures, dive tables, and travel opportunites are introduced in this section of the PADI Open Water Diver program.

Section #2 - Pool Diving
Held simultaneously with the knowledge development part of the program, pool dives let you practice diving skills in a comfortable environment prior to diving in open water.

Section #3 - Open Water Diving
This completes the certification process with the four open water dives within a 12-month period of successful completion of the knowledge development and pool diving sessions.

PROGRAM PRICING:

INCLUDED:

• All instruction for knowledge development sessions and pool dives
• SCUBA equipment including buoyancy control device, regulators, gauges, wetsuit, tanks, weights and belt.
• Mask, fins, and snorkel rental for the first pool dive session.
• Pool entry fees.
• Discounts on all equipment and accessories purchased during the Open Water Diver Program.

NOT INCLUDED:

• Required PADI student diver crew pack including the PADI Open Water Diver manual, Electronics Recreationsl Dive Planner, logbook start-up module and student folder must be purchased at sign-up for $70.00 per diver.
• PADI Open Water diver DVD for $38.00. One DVD required per diver or household.
• Beginning with the 2nd pool session, mask, fins and snorkel are required or may be rented at $10.00 per session.
• Four open water dives under the supervision of a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

OPEN WATER DIVING INFORMATION:

The final and easiest part of the PADI Open Water Diver Program. Available options include:

• Weekend trips to the warm, clear waters of nearby Homestead Crater in Midway, Utah. Cost is $210 and includes your 4 open water dives, instruction, all rental equiment (except mask, fins and snorkel), photo and certiciation card processing fee. We have additional information on this affordable weekend getaway to finish your open water dives.
• One of our group dive vacations to a tropical resort destination. It could be anything from a weekend trip to Cozumel, Mexico or a 10-day package to the exotic South Pacific or Caribbean.
• Your own customized vacation where we'll suplly you with a referral letter you take to any PADI training center anywhere in the world to finish your adventure. We can help with all of the travel arrangements.

After successfully completing the program, you'll be issued a PADI Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver certification card. This recognized credential is your ticket to dive charters and resort diving, equipment rentals and purchases, and continuing education like the PADI Adventures in Diving program.
